Minimum Qualifications: Empire does not hire handymen. Our plumbers have a minimum 6 years experience as a journeyman. Possessing a valid journey man license is proof. Please call to discuss your qualifications. In order to be listed as a plumber for Empire you must pass our journeyman test. This test consists of the following:

20    Questions Drain Cleaning    Maximum Time Interval for Answering    20 Minutes

50    Questions Re-Piping-Gas-Water    Maximum Time Interval for Answering    40 Minutes

50    Questions Sewer piping   Maximum Time Interval for Answering    40 Minutes

All Questions are essay format. No multiple guessing. If you do not know what you are doing-we will know, and we will recommend you for that rooter company down the street. We hire only qualified people. This testing is far more difficult than the State test to obtain a contractors license. More than 90% of contractors go bankrupt and fail within the first 5 years. Our employees pass 5 years of successful employment at Empire with more than an 80% percent rate.

All applicants will be subjected to the following:

Full Criminal background check

Full Civil background Check (if you can't be responsible enough to pay your bills-Work elsewhere)

Full Drug Testing (Blood Test-Not urinalysis). Testing for masking agents. If you use drugs do not bother to apply. You will retested monthly. Illegal Drug use Cannot be hidden.

Drivers License Printout. (if you are not a responsible driver-were not interested)

All employees are subject to random and often drug screening.
