Oldest Air Conditioner Contest

· The contest is for owner occupied, single family homes with central, ducted air conditioning systems.

· Entrant must be legal adults and residents of Southern California

· Entrants must be homeowners and fully empowered to make purchases and home improvement decisions regarding their residence.

· Homes must be located within the Empire Heating and Air Conditioning primary servicing area defined as Orange County, Los Angeles County or Riverside County

· Entries must be received by September 30, 2010 by 5:00 p.m.

· Entries may only be completed by an in home visit by employees of Empire Heating and Air Conditioning. Request for entry can be emailed to E-mail: info@empirecares.com. Tthis is to confirm the age of the air conditioner by its nameplate. No purchase is necessary.

· The contest applies to standard “split system” air conditioners added onto up flow or horizontal residential forced air furnaces.

· This is not a game of chance. The winner will be the oldest air conditioner submitted according to objective information such as model & serial numbers, installation or sale paperwork provided by the homeowner and/or the best judgment of Empire Heating and Air Conditioning employees.

In the event of a tie, the earliest contest entrant shall be the winner. All decisions are final.

· The winning entry will receive one (1) new 13 SEER air conditioner and matching coil up to 4 tons, as well as complete normal installation.

· The winning entry will be responsible for any hazardous material removal and abatement (ie. asbestos), and any improvements needed to bring the installation in compliance with existing building and mechanical codes.

· The winner will be selected on October 1, 2010 and informed prior to any media announcements.

· The winner will be posted online @ www.empirecares.com on October 11, 2010.

· The winning entry will agree to allow Empire Heating and Air Conditioning to use images and likenesses of the old and new air conditioners and homeowners and the homeowners’ name in promotional material.

· The winner will provide Empire Heating and Air Conditioning with 12 months of electric bill information prior to the replacement, 12 months of electric bill information following the installation, and release Empire Heating and Air Conditioning to share this information and data with the public.

· Entrants may receive newsletters and other information from Empire Heating and Air Conditioning from time to time. Empire Heating and Air Conditioning lists or customer information will NOT be shared with other companies. Entrants can remove themselves from any subscription lists at any time by notifying Empire Heating and Air Conditioning by mail, phone, or e-mail.

· Prize is non-transferable, but may be redeemed for cash. Cash amount will be dependent upon the size of the system in the event that the air conditioner has already been replaced.

· No entry fee or purchase is required to enter.

· Employees of Empire Heating and Air Conditioning and their family members are not eligible.
