Our Unique Process for Underground Leak Detection-Slab Leak

When looking for internal leaks, water leaks appearing in the wall and leaks appearing underground, we follow our own unique process pinpointing those leaks in just a few affordable steps.

• Undertake a whole evaluation isolating leaking toilets, leaking faucets, leaking hose bibs.
• Check for obvious sources of water such as a leaky bathtub, a sink not sealed, a water heater leak, shower pan leak and a laundry machine leak.
• Flag the water meter and observe any noted leakage.
• Perform an acoustic survey of the leaking piping narrowing the area of leakage.
• Perform a thermal scan of the area noting temperature and moisture differences
• Perform a electronic line location survey mapping out the location of all underground lines in the area.
• Perform a ground microphone survey pinpointing the exact location of the leak

In the event that this does not pinpoint the area of leak we will perform a gas insertion survey whereas we pressure the piping with an inert gas and detected the noise where it is escaping from the piping.
Once knowledge of the piping and location of the above ground manifolds are known a proper estimate for repair, replacement or reroute can occur.
